Calabash

With a history dating back to 1691, Calabash has grown from a small fishing village to a lively town with a population of over 2,000 year-round residents.  Coined the “Seafood Capital of the World,” Calabash is a must-visit destination along the Carolina Coast.  However, in addition to its serious fishing culture, Calabash has several renowned golf courses and a myriad of eclectic boutiques and antique shops for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.

When in Calabash, we implore you to visit one of the many restaurants lining the banks of the Calabash River to taste the distinctive, “Calabash style” seafood and enjoy the picturesque waterfront views.  Our brokers Karen and Paula recommend you go to either Oyster Rock or The Boundary House for heaping plates of freshly caught and cooked sea food.  But, make sure to save room for homemade sweets and treats from one of the local ice cream parlors; the Calabash Creamery is an office favorite!
